Top CISOs To Confer On Pressing Cyber Security Topics At ‘Exchange’

Dan Gunderman | 08/06/2018

Leading Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) will be descending upon the Seaport Hotel in Boston, Mass., from Aug. 12-14, in an event sure to spur useful conversation, best practices and networking opportunities.

The “CISO Exchange” is invite-only, and features C-level executives, leading solution providers and inspiring speakers and thought leaders.

With a robust agenda filled with specific and tactical sessions, security practitioners will have three days in which to focus on their enterprise’s goals, pain points and strategies.

This premier event for security executives allows attendees to discuss innovative solutions, and network with those of similar ilk.

Why It’s So Important

Cyber-crime can be perpetrated from anywhere in the world that permits a link between cyber-space and physical computing devices and networks. With the digital landscape expanding, the enterprise has historically invested in strengthening their cyber security postures with diverse security controls.

Yet, productivity of security teams is complicated by an abundance of alerts, legacy systems, evolving technologies and growing compliance mandates. Unlike other events, the CISO Exchange offers cyber security leaders the opportunity to hear and discuss successful strategies in a true peer-to-peer networking forum while highlighting the latest technologies, strategies and processes to ensure security.

Event chairman James Livermore, Global Cyber Security Architect, CSO, CDM Smith, told the Cyber Security Hub: “The intimate setting of the Exchange, where attendance is limited, exposes you to all peers. You’re talking with, and meeting, fellow CISOs that have the same interests and concerns that I have.”

He continued: “In the presentations, panels and working sessions, they’ve all been developed and designed to address the issues and concerns that CISOs in attendance are dealing with right now.”

The destination is where top security experts come to share ideas, tactics and solutions. Some of this year’s featured speakers include: Phillip Miller, Head of Infrastructure and CISO, Brooks Brothers, Inc., Mike Tiddy, CISO, BNSF, Jeff Schilling, CISO, Epsilon, Karen Davis, Business Group Chief Information Officer, RTI, Marina Spyrou, SVP, Global Cyber Security and Risk Leader, Nielsen, Ravi Thatavarthy, Information Security Officer, iRobot, Genady Vishnevetsky, CISO, Stewart Information Services Corporation, Paul Scheib, CISO, Boston Children’s Hospital, Cliff White, Chief Technology Officer, Accellion, Esmond Kane, Deputy CISO, Partners Healthcare and Michael Gioia, Information Security Officer, Jimmy John’s LLC.
