Deron McElroy, chief of cybersecurity for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, part of the US Department of Homeland Security, urged businesses and organizations to follow the department’s example and take a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity. From combating common threats, such as email phishing, to planning critical incident responses, McElroy offered detailed, uncompromising strategies to help organizations stay ahead of cyber criminals.

Leading with a series of challenging questions organizations need to ask themselves in regard to preparedness for cyber-attacks and developing robust prevention strategies, McElroy said cybersecurity leaders should not let “paralysis by analysis” stand in the way of keeping assets, information and people safe in an increasingly digital world.
