Janet Oren

Janet is currently the CISO at Legg Mason in Baltimore. She has over 36 years in information security. Janet spent 32 years at the National Security Agency providing systems security engineering support to large weapon systems such as the Joint Strike Fighter and the F-22 and retired as a Senior Executive and the technical director of Trusted Engineering Solutions, the organization that delivers cryptography and other solutions to the US government and assists in raising commercial industry standards. She performed Financial Services consulting work as a Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and was hired as the CISO at Legg Mason in August 2016. Janet also taught information security and program management courses at Towson University and Anne Arundel Community College for about 18 years.
