PacketViper
PacketViper is active cybersecurity deception acting both internally and externally and focused on the reconnaissance stage to stop threats earlier and produce practical results. Our deception is lightweight, agentless and software based.
The industry’s only external facing decoys create the appearance of a moving target at the perimeter, making networks harder to identify while overcoming limitations of traditional static perimeters. PacketViper also harvests intelligence from external threats to automatically block unwanted, uninvited threats from ever touching firewalls or cluttering SIEMs.
Internal decoys act when threats surface for recon scanning. Touching a decoy results in automated actions including outright blocking, slowing traffic and generating alerts. This also stops exfiltration of data and connections to command and control.
Internal decoys also support vendor risk management (VRM). VRM programs typically rely heavily on vendor scoring systems that are necessary but insufficient ‘outside-in’ solutions. PacketViper analyzes vendor specific traffic interacting with your network in real time. Scanning activity occurring outside of normal, pre-approved operating ranges can be easily identified, acted upon and reported on.
This is all unlike complex deception solutions which don’t provide value until threats are on the network, can’t deceive during perimeter reconnaissance scans, and contribute to alert overload without the ability to act.
