Jurgen serves as the VSP Global Privacy Officer and is a Dutch trained lawyer who worked as legal counsel in several industries (manufacturing, outsourcing and software), including more than 10 years’ experience working with privacy laws (throughout The Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland). Jurgen has been a VSP (privacy) counsel since 2014 (based in Amsterdam) and relocated to California in 2018 to work in his current role. Jurgen has several certifications (CIPP/E, CIPT and CIPM) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has helped VSP Global implement GDPR, acting as Data Protection Officer (DPO).
