Patrick Curry OBE

Patrick is a strategic information management expert and executive with a background in military operations and procurement, intelligence operations, and national and international secure collaboration across industries and many governments. He has extensive experience in cybersecurity, counter-fraud, federated identity management and identity proofing and privacy, and supporting technologies, including blockchains, AI, data analytics and privacy enhancing technologies. He has worked in a range of senior information-centric operational management and leadership roles across UK government, EU, US and international aerospace and defence sectors, particularly on collaborative international programs sharing or validating sensitive data. He has more than 20 years’ experience working with US government organisations.

He is currently advising three governments to develop advanced identity management and counter-fraud capabilities, leveraging the latest privacy enhancing technologies.

He is a director in several for-profit and non-profit companies, with links to about 50 countries. He is an Executive Director of Sedicii, which is an award-winning small company and World Economic Forum Tech Pioneer that provides a Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) and Multi-Party Computation technologies for matching private data across organisations, KYC, AML and authenticating users but without sharing any private data. It is particularly active in counter-fraud and the controlled sharing of sensitive information at HIGH assurance.

He has 15 years’ experience as an ISO editor developing international standards on committees for cybersecurity, privacy, identity management, industry data and blockchains. He is also the Convenor of the ISO Working Group developing the international standard for the Natural Persons Identifier across financial institutions.

He has received two UK and one US industry awards, and an OBE from HM The Queen.
